tolerant; to 2 ft., densely tufted.
• Danthonia spicata (poverty oatgrass) Semi-shade tolerant; to 2 ft., densely tufted.
• Juncus tenuis (path rush) Semi-shade tolerant;
to 28 in., growth rate slow.
• Muhlenbergia frondosa (wire-stem muhly) Shade tolerant; clonal; to 40 in.
• Muhlenbergia schreberi (nimblewill) Semi-shade
tolerant; clonal; to 2 ft. usually about 8 in., tufted. Tolerates
mowing well.
• Muhlenbergia sobolifera (creeping muhly) Shade tolerant; clonal; to 34 in.
• Muhlenbergia sylvatica (forest muhly) Shade tolerant; clonal; to 30 in.
• Muhlenbergia tenuiflora (slender flowered muhly) Shade tolerant; clonal; to 40 in.
• Tridens flavus (purpletop) clonal; tufted, to
5 ft. Tolerant of occasional mowing.
